May - June Technology Training Sessions

For May and the first week of June the following technology training sessions will be offered:

  • May 8th 7:30-8:00 - Open Office - Next year we will be switching from Microsoft Office to Open Office. Come see how they are similar and how they are different. - CAD Lab
  • May 15th 7:30-8:00 - Firefox - Next year we will be switching from Internet Explorer to Firefox. Come see how they are similar and how they are different. CAD Lab
  • May 22nd 7:30-8:00 - Online Curriculum Sharing - There are many websites out there where teachers can share lesson plans and curriculum for free. Come explore some of these sites. - CAD Lab
  • May 29th 7:30-8:00 - QwestGarden - A tool for creating WebQuests, a research supported teaching strategy for internet use in the curriculum. - CAD Lab
  • June 3rd 7:30-8:00 - Backing up data online - Flash drives are great for backing up your data, unless they are stored in the same place as your computer. In the event of a fire or flood they will likely suffer the same problems as your computer and valuable data may be lost. Come see how you can store your backup files online for free. - CAD Lab

  • April 17th 7:30-8:00 - Yugma - Free online program that lets you share your screen with others. Great for classes in lab settings. - Online
  • April 24th 7:30-8:00 - Rubistar - Online database of rubrics for nearly every kind of learning activity. - CAD Lab
